June 27th marked 10th Anniversary of Beatifications

During the full day celebrations of the 10th anniversary of the Beatification of the Ukrainian Catholic Martyrs, pilgrims approach to venerate the 1st class relics of Blessed Nicholas Charnetsky and Blessed Vasyl Velychkosky and also to be anointed with holy oil of Blessed Vasyl.
Over 100 faithful pilgrims processed prayerfully from the Bishop Velychkovsky Martyr Shrine at St. Joseph’s Ukrainian Catholic Parish to the Archbishop’s Chancery. A rosary was recited and hymns sung throughout the walk.
At the end of the day Fr. Mark Filips from the neighbouring Roman Catholic Parish of St. Anthony and the clergy from the Shrine prepare to anoint the pilgrims with the holy relic oil of Blessed Vasyl.
