Full English Text of the Declaration of Support of the Redemptorist Province of Canada for Ukraine
Toronto, March 4, 2022
The Redemptorists of the Province of Canada stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine, and our Redemptorist brothers serving the Catholic faithful during this time of political turmoil. We pray for peace and the preservation of democracy in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian people have helped build and shape Canada for almost 130 years. Our religious provicne in Canada and our Congregation is blessed with close ties with the Ukrainian Catholic Church and the people of Ukraine.
May the Lord inspire the leaders of Canada, Ukraine, Russia, and the many countries affected and involved in many ways in this war, to resolve differences, and to find other ways than war to solve our problems.
May God protect and bless the people of Ukraine.
