From July 17 to 25, the Shrine will come alive with the Novena of Saint Anne. Under the theme “Do not be afraid: for I am with you,” come and discover—or rediscover—a place where people pray, sing, and allow themselves to be touched by God’s presence.
From July 17 to 26, 2026, the Shrine of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré will once again welcome pilgrims and visitors from all over for the novena and the Feast of Saint Anne, under the theme: “Do not be afraid; I am with you” (Isaiah 41:10).
Since the sanctuary’s inception, this time of year has traditionally been dedicated to honoring this great saint, affectionately known as “Good Saint Anne.” For this 368th edition of the novena, Father Anthony Bidgood, C.Ss.R., of the Redemptorist community in St. John’s (Newfoundland and Labrador) will preside and preach the English novenas while a team of nine Redemptorists and diocesan priests will take turns in presiding and preaching for the novena in French.

Masses and torchlight processions that will take place throughout the novena will culminate on July 26 with the Great Feast of Saint Anne, presided by Cardinal Gérald Cyprien Lacroix. The Anointing of the Sick will also be offered on this feast day, at 3:00 p.m., to those who wish to present a request for healing to Saint Anne.
For a detailed schedule of the Shrine’s activities during the novena and the Feast of Saint Anne, please visit the Shrine’s Facebook page and website: www.sanctuairesainteanne.org
Cardinal Gérald Cyprien Lacroix will also lead a program on July 25, 2026 at 2:00pm and 3:00pm at the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary of the Basilica on the theme: “Witnesses of Hope.” This session will be in French and will highlight six witnesses of hope: the Virgin Mary, Saint Brother André, Blessed Marie Élisabeth Turgeon, Blessed Louis Zéphirin Moreau, Saint Marguerite d’Youville, and Blessed Marie-Catherine de St-Augustin. Everyone is welcome to join Cardinal Lacroix for this hour of reflection and prayer.
