WINNIE WONG, CPA

Winnie Wong is the new Financial Controller for the Redemptorists of the Province of Canada. With over 20 years of experience in financial reporting and public accounting, Winnie has built a career supporting not-for-profit and charitable organizations, helping them navigate financial complexities with integrity and expertise. Passionate about serving those in need, she is committed to ensuring strong financial stewardship for organizations that uplift communities.

As Financial Controller, Winnie will play a key role in ensuring financial stewardship of the Redemptorists, supporting our mission of service and ministry across Canada. Before joining the Redemptorists, she held managerial roles in public accounting firms, where she led audits, advised clients on tax and financial reporting, and collaborated with management to enhance operational controls and effectiveness.

Winnie is a Chartered Accountant, holding a Master of Management and Professional Accounting degree and a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering. She began her career in engineering and quality assurance with Defence Research & Development Canada, demonstrating adaptability and analytical expertise that continue to shape her acumen. Beyond her career, Winnie is an active volunteer supporting parish programs. She is also a devoted mother to two young boys. HERVÉ TELLA, MA ACCOUNTING

Hervé Tella has recently been appointed as the new Assistant Financial Controller for the Redemptorists. He steps into this role following in the footsteps of Marwan and in support of Winnie, with a commitment to overseeing financial operations while ensuring transparency, integrity, and responsible resource management. For Hervé, contributing to a mission rooted in faith and service is both fulfilling and closely aligned with his personal values.

Born in Côte d’Ivoire, Hervé moved to France at the age of four and was raised in a Catholic household. As a third-generation accountant, a career in finance felt like a natural path. He pursued his accounting studies in Paris and has since built a successful 25-year career earning recognition from leading companies across various industries. His upbringing instilled in him a deep sense of community, responsibility, and compassion—values that continue to guide him both professionally and personally. Joining the Redemptorists feels like a seamless extension of these principles, and Hervé is proud to support their meaningful mission.

Outside of work, Hervé enjoys weightlifting, long walks, and exploring topics such as leadership, personal development, and emerging technologies. He also has a strong interest in financial markets, which he follows as a hobby. Music is a constant presence in his daily life, whether during his commute, while relaxing, or when seeking inspiration.
