35 YEARS OF "MA RENCONTRE AVEC DIEU" AT THE SHRINE OF SAINTE-ANNE-DE-BEAUPRÉ

On January 30, a Mass presided over by Cardinal Gérald Cyprien Lacroix was celebrated at the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament in the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré to mark the 35th year of “My Encounter with God” popularly known as the daily television mass in Côte-de-Beaupré. Since December 3, 1990, Mass has been broadcast live Monday through Saturday at 6:30 a.m., allowing thousands of faithful to join in prayer from their homes. This work is made possible thanks to the faithful commitment of volunteers who provide the readings, animation, preparation of the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament, as well as recording and broadcasting.

TALK ON ECO-SPIRITUALITY AT SAINT PATRICK'S YELLOWKNIFE

On February 5, at St. Patrick’s Church in Yellowknife, Sr. Madeleine Gregg, fcJ, gave an inspiring presentation on eco-spirituality that was attended by the parish community and the Redemptorist Fathers. While a power outage plunged the church into darkness, her reflection brought a very different kind of light. She reminded the community of the sacred bond that unites all creation and the Christian responsibility to respond to “the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor.” The evening, marked by God’s grace, the strength of community, and the generosity of service and meal prepared by the CWL, was a beautiful moment of faith, sharing, and hope.
