There were 61 ballots cast, meaning all confreres with active votes participated. In order to win the election during this first electoral round, a confrere needed 2/3rds of the total votes, meaning 41/61 is the threshold.

Fr. Santo Arrigo received 47 votes, which surpassed the threshold required, and so he has been elected Provincial Superior by the confreres of the Redemptorist Province of Canada.

His election for the four-year term 2027-2030 has been confirmed by the Superior General of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, Fr. Rogerio Gomes, C.Ss.R.
