The Redemptorists of Canada celebrated a joyful milestone with the blessing of the new Redemptorist Centre at 131 McCaul Street on October 30.

The ceremony was presided over by Archbishop-Emeritus Gerard Pettipas, C.Ss.R., of Grouard-McLennan, and attended by Redemptorist priests and brothers, current and former staff, lay associates, and ministry partners.

Following the blessing, guests enjoyed refreshments and a light dinner, along with a tour of the new building.

The new centre stands on the former site of the Catholic Settlement House and the parish offices of the German Parish of St. Patrick (1929-2011). Now, this renewed space ushers in a new chapter of mission and community for the Redemptorists in Toronto.

This new Redemptorist Centre is already home to St. Patrick’s Parish offices, Ignite Ministry, and will also be the future home of the Provincial Offices of the Redemptorist Province of Canada, bringing together our ministries in Toronto and provincial administration under one roof — a meaningful step toward consolidating the Redemptorist presence in Toronto and strengthening collaboration in ministry and mission.
